Taylor James

Taylor James is thrilled to be making her Rivertown Theater debut. She was most recently seen playing Celie in The Color Purple at Le Petit Theater. A Baton Rouge native, Taylor has braved I-10 for many projects in the New Orleans Area such as Dreamgirls at JPAS (Lorrell Robinson) and Once on This Island at Le Petit Theater (Erzulie). Other theatre credits include: Our Christmas Dinner and Half-Stitched at Blue Gate Musicals, Tuxedo Junction at Birmingham Children’s Theatre, Rockin’ Rodgers and Hammerstein at Prima Theatre, and many more. She is a graduate of Northwestern State University with a B.S. in Theatre with a concentration in Musical Theatre Performance. She would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her in all her endeavors.
