Maria Victoria Hefte
Snow White
María is a familiar fixture in the local arts scene on either side of the Pontchartrain. One of the founding members of the pandemic-era ensemble entertainment group Opera Festa Singers, Hefte has sung German, Italian, French, and Russian repertoire at venues such as the Southern Hotel, Third Sunday Concert Series, and the Deutsches Haus as well as The Gallery - a far cry from their humble beginnings singing off a balcony on Frenchman Street. Former Rivertown Theater productions from which you would recognize her include “Into the Woods,” (Baker’s Wife) and “Love Letters,” (Melissa), with her most recent roles including the likes of “Mary Poppins,” (Winnifred Banks) at Rivertown and Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella,” (Marie) with Jefferson Performing Arts Society. Hefte enjoys workshopping new musicals like “How To Kill A Diva,” (Helga Rottweiler/Lucia Fartoli u/s) with JPAS and “Perfectly Imperfect,” (Cora/Zoe) with the Marigny Opera House, as well as bringing back homegrown projects such as the 30th Anniversary of the Treehouse Players’ “Rapunzel: A Family Musical,” (Mary).
