Maria Hefte
Lady Larken
Maria is honored to return to the Rivertown stage. Former Rivertown Theater roles include The Baker’s Wife (Into the Woods) and Winnifred Banks (Mary Poppins), with her most recent roles including the likes of Snow White (Disenchanted) as well as the role of Marie, the fairy godmother in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella with Jefferson Performing Arts. With over twenty years of classical training, Hefte has sung German, Italian, French, and Russian repertoire at venues such as the Southern Hotel, Third Sunday Concert Series, and the Deutsches Haus, as well as The Gallery - formerly performing with Robert Wagner’s pandemic-era ensemble group Opera Festa Singers, of which Hefte was a founding member. Hefte has workshopped new musicals like How To Kill A Diva (JPA, 2019), Perfectly Imperfect (Marigny Opera House, 2020), participated in the 30th Anniversary performance of the Treehouse Players’ Rapunzel: A Family Musical (NOLA Voice Theatre), and looks forward to future projects in stage, film, and television.
