Jennifer Eastland

Musical Director

Jennifer is so excited to be making her music directorial debut at Rivertown! She has previously musically directed The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at River Region Drama Guild and Academy of Our Lady’s production of 13, the Musical. She has played keyboard in the pit for many local musicals, including Hairspray, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Annie, and she played French horn in the orchestra for Rivertown’s The Will Rogers Follies. She has also directed multiple children’s musicals in her roles as Children’s Choir Director at several local churches and as a public school music teacher. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Loyola University, where her major instruments were French horn and piano. She holds a master’s degree in Christian Education/Music from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. She taught classroom music, choir, and band at St. Rose Elementary in St. Charles Parish for ten years before deciding to stay home to homeschool her five children. She currently maintains a thriving Private Music Studio for piano, voice, and band students, as well as offering Musical Theatre coaching. She also accompanies many local school choirs, Honor choirs, and community and church choirs and congregations. In her spare time, she enjoys being a “Drama Mama” and watching her own theatre kids perform on local stages across the New Orleans area. Big hugs to Gary, Belle, and Kayln! #dreamteam
