Edward R. Cox

Edward has spent over 60 years of his life-long career in the performing / designing / directing theatrical arts and Carnival creations, including going back to the very first productions at Kenner Little Theater! A Multi-Award-Winning actor/director/designer, Edward has given hundreds of indelible performances over the years locally, regionally as well as Broadway and National Tours. Some of his local audience favorites are John Adams in '1776', Applegate in 'DAMN YANKEES', Maurice in several productions of 'DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST', Amos Hart in 'CHICAGO' and creating the role of Mickey (Rooney) in the original N.O.R.D. Theater musical 'BABES!' as well as so many others. As a Disney Entertainment Cast Member, he is a 'close personal friend' of numerous well-loved Disney Characters including Santa Claus. (Particularly enjoyable were his many years with a certain 'mad man who loves having tea parties'.) Designing and creating Ricky Grahams' "IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE, Y'ALL" has been a unique blast and looking forward to creating his designs for "XANADU" and "ONCE UPON A MATTRESS" here at Rivertown Theaters. With myriad Carnival obligations and live television broadcasts as GRAND MARSHAL MARTY GRAW he keeps busy during that time of year along with his SIMPLY STUNNING DESIGNS - NOLA creations.
