Christopher Wecklein

An accomplished singer/actor, Chris Wecklein returns to Rivertown in his original role in Ricky Graham and Harry Mayronne's hilarious long-running hit Waiting Around (the Restaurant Musical) Feb 20-March 2. Chris was also co-producer of the off-Broadway production. For the past eighteen years he has been the male vocalist/co-emcee for Caroling in Jackson Square. Other notable roles include Max Bialystok in The Producers, Mr. Peachum in The Threepenny Opera, Arnold in Torch Song Trilogy, Oscar in Sweet Charity, Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Show, Gordon in A New Brain and Jinx in Bryan Batt's Forever Plaid, to name a few. He is an original member of the annual New Orleans Brechtfest, which celebrates the works of German playwright and poet Bertolt Brecht. He has appeared as singer/comedian in numerous cabaret appearances such as Hot Stuff! with Becky Allen in New Orleans, the Greenbrier, and NYC. Big thanks to Gary Rucker for getting him back to Rivertown.
